MONDAY

9:30 – 3 pm Betty Jacobs OILS 328-6663

Betty Jacobs has been teaching art for many years and won numerous awards for her works. This class is for beginner to intermediate students.

Half or full days are available. Half day monthly $100 – Full day monthly $140.

1:30 – 4:30 pm Carolyne Hawley OILS 401-3639

Carolyne has been teaching and showing nationally since 1990. She is a member of the Women Artists Of The West and Oil Painters of America. Her work can be seen at Danskin Gallery in Palm Desert. Website: www.hawleyfineart. Beginner to Intermediate students. $150 for 4.

Jone worked to 20 years as a commercial artist using all mediums. She has exhibited in Fine Art Shows around the country. Her teaching credentials are extensive. $100 for 4 classes.

1 – 4 pm         Elaine Mathews           OILS/ACRYLICS         328-4911

Elaine Mathews holds a BA in Art and an MA in teaching. Her large paintings are included in several corporate collections. Classes are for beginner to intermediate students who will paint from photos and learn plein air techniques. $115 – 4 classes. $30 for one.

WEDNESDAY

Kay Henkel works as a full-time artist out of her studio and gallery in Palm Springs. A member of the National Sculpture Society, she uses varied media including clay, plaster and bronze. This class is for beginner to advanced students. Call for rates.

1 – 4 pm Moira Johannessen, WATERCOLOR 322-2523

Moira Johannessen’s popular classes are well attended, so call for reservations. She has won many awards in local and national shows. Her lovely paintings are on display in our gallery. She teaches the different techniques of watercolor to students from beginner to intermediate. $100 for 5 classes. $25 for one.

THURSDAY

David Fairrington has an extensive background in painting and drawing. He has painted over 500 personal portraits, ballet portraits and was a Combat Artist for the US Army. View his website at www.davidfairrington.com. $140 – 4 classes.
9 – noon Don Dietz, STAINED GLASS 671-5000 Don Dietz is a retired teacher with a MA in Vocational Education. He has been making stained glass art work for 12 years, selling throughout the US and Canada. Students will learn glass selection, pattern transfer, cutting, grinding, foiling, soldering and finishing. Students will complete a basic project. $25 per class.

NOTE: Classes are held at Don’s home.

9 - noon Frances Poole DRAWING 288-3162

Frances Poole has her MFA in Drawing and Painting and has taught in art schools for 15 years. She is an award-winning artist whose oil paintings have been exhibited nationally in galleries and museums for the past 25 years. Students of all levels will benefit from her class, "Drawing Like the Masters". $100 for 5 classes. $25 for one.

FRIDAY

Rafael Maniago is a premier artist from the Phillipines where he is known as the “master painter of portraits”. He made his name in the art world with his beautiful paintings of figures and landscapes. He limits his class to 7 students and you must call for reservations. $110 per day.

9 – noon Louise Passey OILS 310 629-8155

Louise Passey is a full-time resident of Palm Springs and has a background in art teaching, set design, fantasy costume design for TV, and clothing design. Louise has a Master’s degree from UC with a major in Painting. She has received much recognition both locally and nationally. $100 – 4 classes.

SATURDAY

9 – noon Meridy Volz LIFE DRAWING 668-9852

Meridy Volz is one of our most popular teachers. Her subjects are nude models.
You will have exercises to loosen up and instruction on how to render the human figure. Warmup is usually in charcoal on newsprint with longer poses in the medium of your choice. $120 – 4 classes.
